I've been following the ongoing investigation into the tragic death of Lonnaya I'zanay Warren-Loyd, and one thing that really stands out is the resilience of her family and community. Losing someone so young and full of promise is a devastating blow, and yet those who knew her seem to be rallying together to keep her memory alive and support each other through this difficult time. I read that she was a student at Sojourner Truth Academy, and it sounds like she was truly loved by her peers and teachers. I can’t help but think about how deeply her friends at school must be feeling this loss. It's so important that we continue to talk about Lonnaya and share any information we have so her family can find some closure. If anyone reading this attended STA or knew Lonnaya, maybe you could share some memories or stories. Remembering her as the vibrant person she was might help remind everyone of what we're fighting for when we demand justice. Sending love to all who are mourning her loss.
