Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Nestor Jose Rivera's tragic death, and there's a thought I can't shake. I've heard whispers that the area where the shooting occurred, the 700 block of East 57th Street South, has had issues with late-night disturbances before. Has anyone local noticed any particular pattern or increase in activity around there? It's just so terribly sad to think that Nestor might have been caught up in something more than just a random act. My heart goes out to his family and friends dealing with such a sudden loss. Does anyone know if the community or local authorities have talked about stepping up safety measures in that area? Maybe community initiatives or patrols?
