I was reading about Quentin Gordon's case, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. It's incredibly sad to see such a young life lost to violence. I couldn't help but think about the timing of everything. The fact that it happened at 9:30 p.m. just makes you wonder about those crucial moments leading up to the tragedy. Were there missed opportunities to de-escalate the situation? It's haunting to think about how quickly things can spiral out of control. I also found it touching that his community came together to honor him at New Jerusalem Baptist Church. It’s clear that Quentin was loved and will be dearly missed. I hope justice is served and that his family finds some semblance of peace in this difficult time. The impact of gun violence is all too real, and it’s a conversation we need to keep having to drive change.
