I wanted to talk about how deeply connected this tragedy seems among the people involved. It's incredibly tough to even begin to comprehend what the families are going through right now in losing not just one loved one but multiple souls that were closely knit with each other. I feel particularly struck by the inclusion of Joshua’s friend and neighbor, Donald Dodge, in this horrific event. It makes me wonder how such a terrible situation unfolded within what appeared to be a close community. Was Donald just at the wrong place at the wrong time, or is there more to unravel about their friendship and what led Joshua to such a desperate point? Regardless, my heart truly goes out to all the families who are now left trying to make sense of this senseless act. If anyone else is from the Wichita area or knows more about the connections between these individuals, I'd truly appreciate any insight. I think, in times like these, piecing together their stories might bring some small amount of peace to those left behind.
