I've been following the tragic case of Keilan Chase Lieteau-Harris, and my heart goes out to his family, especially his little son who now has to grow up without his dad. As a music lover, I've been thinking about how many talented souls like Keilan have had their dreams and lives stolen from them. It makes me so frustrated to see another young artist from New Orleans, a city so rich in musical history, taken down by senseless violence. Keilan's story really resonates with me because you could tell he had a bright future ahead of him and a genuine passion for his craft. Does anyone know if there are any movements or community efforts in New Orleans working to combat this cycle of violence? I feel like supporting initiatives like that would not only honor his memory but also bring a little hope to his family and friends who are enduring such an unimaginably difficult time.
