Has anyone else been following the tragic case of Shawn Simms? My heart goes out to his family and friends. It's devastating to think about how a young life can be cut short so brutally. I was reading about how they arrested Irvin Allen, and it struck me how close to the scene he was found. It makes you wonder if he was still hanging around the area or if there was some kind of connection that kept him nearby. I wonder how all this affects the community in that part of New Orleans. It's unsettling to think that there might be more to discover in this area given that the VOWS unit and US Marshals were already involved in multiple arrests. Does anyone know if there has been more police presence since Allen's capture, or if the community feels any safer? I just hope Shawn's family can find some semblance of peace as they seek justice for him.
