I am glad he got his wife out of the car. Unfortunately it resulted in the end of his life. I feel like he traded his life for his wife's life. Bless this woman and her family.

I can't stop thinking about the audacity to carry out such a heinous act in broad daylight. It really hits home how unpredictable and fragile life can be. Paul Holt was just there to celebrate with his wife, and in an instant, their world was turned upside down. I can't even imagine the courage it took for him to confront Evans to protect his wife. He must have been an incredibly brave and loving husband.
It's terrifying how a "Ghost Gun" was involved in this. These untraceable weapons are becoming a serious issue. It makes me wonder how Evans even got his hands on such a weapon at only 18. This is a call to action for policy changes. My heart goes out to Paul’s family and friends. They deserve justice and peace after such a senseless loss.
I’ve been following the case of Paul Holt and can’t stop thinking about how brave he was in those final moments. It’s unimaginable to think of what his wife went through, witnessing such a horrific event and then losing her partner in an instant. They were supposed to be celebrating a joyous occasion—his 63rd birthday—and instead, their world was shattered. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly life can change. It’s not just about the crime itself but how this kind of violence leaves families and communities reeling. I hope his wife is surrounded by compassionate support right now. Does anyone know if there’s been any outreach or support from locals or organizations in Hammond to help her through this terrible time?
