I’ve been following the case of Eddie Lee Rogers, and my thoughts are truly with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. I've read that the celebration of his life was held at Willow Chute Baptist Church, a place that must have so many memories for his family and friends. It's heartbreaking to think about the community gathering there not for a joyful occasion, but to say goodbye. I hope that people who attended found some comfort in being together, sharing memories and supporting one another. Losing a loved one to violence is unimaginably hard, and my heart goes out to everyone affected by this tragedy. As the investigation continues, I hope justice is served and that Mr. Rogers' family finds solace knowing there’s a community that stands with them. Let’s keep all the victims of gun violence in our thoughts, hoping for change and a future where such tragedies are less frequent.
