Has anyone else been focusing on how Revell's story highlights the intense ripple effects of gun violence in our communities? I can't stop thinking about how promising his future was, with plans to attend Southern University and pursue music like his famous cousin, Trombone Shorty. It's devastating to think about all that potential cut short. I know these stories of gun violence happen all too often, but they hit differently when we see the face and dreams of such a young soul like Revell's. Moments like this remind us all of the urgent need to address these tragedies, not just for the victims but for the survivors left behind. Thoughts are with his family and friends as they navigate this immense loss. Anyone else have insights on what can be done to prevent these situations?

Hey everyone, I’m really struggling with Revell Andrews' case. I keep thinking about how tight-knit the community around Revell must have been. You can’t help but feel for McDonogh 35 and all the people there who must be completely devastated. High school graduation is such a special time—celebrating with your friends about the next steps in life, and suddenly for them, it shifted from planning future meet-ups to attending a funeral. I’ve read that he was a straight-A student and had just gotten his license. Imagine the joy and excitement he must have felt holding that driver’s license, a symbol of newfound freedom and the endless possibilities ahead. It’s truly a gut-wrenching situation, wondering how the community can piece itself together after such a loss. If anyone's from the area, how are people coping? Is there anything being done in his memory, maybe through the school or his music circle? Sending all the love and strength I can muster to his family and friends during these unimaginable times.
