I've been following the Kelon Shemar Thomas case, and I can't stop thinking about the impact this has on the youth in Ville Platte. Kelon was only 23, a time in life when many people are just starting to find their path, yet his future was abruptly cut short. I've heard some discussions about local community leaders considering organizing talks and initiatives focused on addressing gun violence. I'm really hoping these efforts can make a difference because it's so devastating watching young lives being lost and their families left in despair. If anyone has information about these initiatives or knows how to get involved, please share. We need to come together and support not just Kelon's family but all those affected by such senseless acts.
