I can't stop thinking about the gas station on Franklin Avenue and the lack of security footage being mentioned in the reports. In today's world, you'd think there'd be cameras everywhere, right? It's unsettling to think about how someone could do something so awful and just walk away without being caught on camera. My heart goes out to CJ's family and friends who are left grappling with the loss and so many unanswered questions. If anyone local has any insights or knows if the station actually has surveillance, it would be great to share. It’s hard to imagine how the neighborhood is feeling without CJ's familiar presence, especially those who saw him as more than just their mailman.

Did anyone else catch the detail about CJ hanging out in the Fairgrounds neighborhood yards after his shifts? It really paints a picture of how involved he was with the community. It's so rare these days to have someone who truly connects with the people they serve. I've seen discussions about how this kind of bond is more common in smaller towns, but it seems CJ brought that small-town friendliness right into New Orleans. Reminds me of how my own mail carrier would share gardening tips with neighbors on her route. I can't help but think of the void his passing has created for all those who looked forward to his visits. My heart goes out to everyone affected. Anyone else here from the area who can share more about what he was like or the impact he had?
