It's just so unsettling to read about what happened to Anthony Mitchell. Being the only one struck in a drive-by makes it feel even more senseless. I can't help but wonder if he was targeted or just tragically caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's devastating any way you look at it, and my heart goes out to his friends and family dealing with such an unthinkable loss. The fact that there are no suspects yet must be terrifying for them. I hope the authorities get a lead soon. It’s also a jarring reminder of how pervasive gun violence is in Baton Rouge. Anyone else here from the area and feeling the weight of this?

I've been following the tragic case of Anthony Mitchell, and it's just so hard to wrap my head around it. I feel for his family and friends who have to go through this nightmare. I was reading about the location where it happened, 79th Avenue off Harding Boulevard, and I can't help but wonder if this area has seen similar incidents before. Is there something about that specific location that makes it prone to violence? I've heard from locals that gun violence has been a persistent issue in Baton Rouge, but it seems like something needs to change. It's terrifying to think that people can't even sit in their cars without fear. My heart goes out to Anthony's loved ones. Hopefully, the community can come together to support them and push for better safety measures. Also, if anyone knows anything, I hope they have the courage to speak up. No one should get away with such a senseless act.
