I've been following the tragic story of Kalin Cormier, and it truly highlights the dire state of the system that's supposed to protect victims of domestic violence. Despite numerous protective orders and arrests, Gage Quebedeaux was still able to inflict so much harm. It makes me wonder how often these systems fail others in similar situations. Kalin clearly loved her family deeply, enough to put herself in harm's way to protect her daughter. It's absolutely devastating that her bravery in that moment cost her life. My heart goes out to her family, especially her daughters and grandchild, who have to navigate this world without her. Does anyone else here have thoughts on what measures could be taken to better protect those in domestic violence situations? How can the community rally to support the victims and push for effective change?

I've been following the tragic case of Kalin Rachelle Cormier, and it really has me thinking about the justice system and how it deals with persistent offenders. I mean, how many chances did the system give this guy, Gage Quebedeaux? It breaks my heart knowing that, despite multiple arrests and protective orders, he was still able to commit such a horrific act. It seemed like the writing was on the wall, yet nothing was done to stop him permanently. I can't imagine what Kalin's family, especially her daughters and grandchild, are going through right now. Her bravery in trying to protect her daughter speaks volumes about the kind of person she was. It's just so frustrating to think that this might have been preventable. ? Hoping for some real changes to protect individuals from domestic violence.
