I can't stop thinking about Brittney's children and what they must be going through right now. Losing a mother in such a tragic way has to be unimaginably difficult, especially with the knowledge that their own father is involved. It's devastating to know that there was a protective order in place, yet this still happened. Protective orders are supposed to offer some level of safety, so how did this tragedy occur despite that? It makes me wonder about the system’s effectiveness in truly protecting those who are at risk. My thoughts go out to Brittney’s family and children. They have a tough road ahead, and I hope the community can rally around them for support.
