Listening to the news about Deangelo Little's case has been absolutely haunting. It's hard not to feel the deep void his passing has left in the community and especially among his loved ones. I've been reflecting on how critical it is for everyone to come together during times like these, not just to support the family, but to seek answers and justice for Deangelo.
I've noticed discussions around the prevalence of gun violence in Shreveport and it's truly alarming. Each name and face behind these statistics represent families and lives forever changed. Especially in Deangelo’s case, it’s important for us to share any info we might have—I read that the authorities still need public assistance. It’s clear the community is stronger when we stand united against such violence.
Much love and support to those mourning Deangelo. May he be remembered as more than just a number in a grim statistic, but as a young life full of promise, taken far too soon.
Has anyone else been keeping an eye on the alarming increase in homicides in Shreveport this year? The tragic case of Deangelo Little really brought this issue to light for me. It's so distressing to think about how this young man lost his life at just 19, and in his own home, no less.
I live not too far from East 72nd Street, and it's unnerving to see violence escalate so close to where we live.
