I’ve been following Toby McCullum's case and just keep thinking about the impact his passing must have on the local homeless community. It’s hard to imagine processing such a traumatic event without the support and stability that a home can provide. I've read that Toby was recently evicted, which must have made him feel even more vulnerable and isolated. It's evident that homelessness and gun violence are tightly intertwined issues in New Orleans. I hope the community can come together, not just to address the violence, but also to offer more support for those who are unhoused. Rest in peace, Toby. My thoughts are with his loved ones and everyone else affected by this tragedy.
