I can't stop thinking about how crucial technology like "shot-spotter" devices are in cases like Eric Johnson's. It's devastating that such tools are necessary, but in this instance, it was vital in alerting the BRPD quickly to the scene. I can't imagine how much longer it might have taken to respond without it. I hope that with its help, alongside community cooperation, they can piece together what truly happened and bring justice for Eric and his family. He didn't deserve to be another victim of gun violence, and the neighborhood certainly doesn't need this kind of fear hanging over them. Anyone with knowledge, please come forward—this technology can only do so much without human support. Thoughts go out to all who knew and loved Eric.
I wanted to comment on the tragic death of Eric Johnson in Baton Rouge. I’ve been following this case closely, and the confusion with the obituary mix-up caught my attention. It’s distressing to imagine the additional pain this has caused Eric's family and friends, having to navigate sorting out such miscommunication while grieving a loved one. In situations like these, it’s crucial for the media and others reporting on the incident to provide accurate information to give the victim their proper respect and recognition. It’s already a time of great sorrow for his loved ones, and clarity can sometimes bring even the smallest amount of relief. My heart goes out to everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time. Does anyone else notice these types of mix-ups happening often in such cases? How do families typically deal with these errors?
