It's truly devastating to hear about Hortencia Leshay Demming's murder. My heart goes out to her friends and family, who must be going through an unimaginable time. I've been reading through some of the tributes, and it’s clear she was cherished by everyone who knew her. It got me thinking about the role that social media played in Rictaveon Perry’s arrest. It’s somewhat surreal how quickly information can spread online these days. I wonder if this also means the community will rally more quickly for justice in cases like these, using social platforms to bring more attention to the issue of gun violence. It's a sad reminder of how intertwined our lives have become with technology, and how it can be both a tool for justice and a medium for delivering such tragic news. Keeping Hortencia’s friends and family in my thoughts as they navigate this painful time.
