The investigation into the tragic death of Travis Hobbs has really gotten me thinking about the ongoing issue of gun violence here in New Orleans. It's heartbreaking to see another life lost and a family forever changed. My thoughts are with his mother, Merline, and his sons, especially given how unexpected this was. The Gentilly neighborhood, where this took place, has seen its share of struggles over the years. It's a place full of vibrant people trying to build a sense of community. This just feels like such a setback. I hope the authorities are able to find the clarity they need in this case and bring some kind of justice for Travis and his loved ones. Does anyone know if there are any local initiatives or groups working to address gun violence in that area? Something has got to change.
