Has anyone else been following the case in Port Barre? What I can't stop thinking about is how Percy Jones had his whole life ahead of him, and now it's all just gone because of a moment of violence. I keep wondering about the impact on his family and how they must be feeling, having to deal with the loss of someone so young and full of potential.
From what I've read, it's believed to have been a domestic dispute, which makes it all the more tragic. Families are supposed to be a source of love and support, not fear and violence. I really hope the suspected shooter is brought in soon and that the family gets some kind of closure. It’s just so sad seeing another life lost to gun violence, especially when it hits so close to home for the community.
If anyone has more info or insight, particularly regarding how the community is responding, I’d love to hear it. Keeping Percy and his loved ones in my thoughts.

Has anyone else been thinking about the impact that supporting the family during an investigation like this must be having on them? I just can't imagine how tough it must be to navigate relationships when there's uncertainty and fear within the family itself. The police chief seems hopeful that they'll cooperate; that's got to be so difficult, though, given the circumstances.
I hope the community rallies around them, offering comfort and strength, and that this terrible situation doesn't lead to further pain or violence. Not only has Percy's family lost someone dear to them, but they're also caught in this frenzy of waiting for answers. Sending them all the love and support—they're really going to need the strength from each other and their friends during this ordeal. If anyone knows how to help support families going through such things, feel free to share—I think many of us would like to do what we can.
