Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the current unsolved investigation around the tragic shooting that took Reginald "Puff" Thompson's life. Does anyone else find it unsettling how there haven't been any leads or suspects yet? Puff was chatting with friends, just living his life peacefully, when the unimaginable happened. It's so unsettling to think that this could happen to someone so cherished by their community.
I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through right now, especially his wife and kids, having to face each day with this loss and no answers. The community really adored him, and it's so important to come together to offer support. I just hope the police make some progress soon and bring justice for Puff’s family.
I'm also interested if anyone's heard anything new or if there's been any updates that maybe haven't gotten much media coverage. Let's keep sharing information and see if we can help shine a light on anything that might be useful to the investigators.
I can’t shake the feeling that the 7th Ward community feels like it's living in a state of shock ever since Reginald "Puff" Thompson was taken from them. I wasn't fortunate enough to know him personally, but it’s clear he meant a lot to so many. Besides the heartbreak his family must be feeling, I’m equally concerned about the safety of this neighborhood. To think Puff was simply catching up with friends and found himself in the crossfire is terrifying.
Does anyone else feel like certain areas in our city feel increasingly unsafe? I’d love to hear from locals about how you feel the authorities can address the rising violence in our beloved neighborhoods. It's crucial we come together to demand solutions and find ways to protect community figures like Puff who only spread love and kindness.
Sending light to those who knew him and especially his children and grandchildren who must now navigate this loss. Let’s keep Puff’s spirit alive by seeking justice for him and ensuring no one else has to endure such a senseless tragedy in the future.
