I’ve been following Anthony Walker Jr.’s case, and one thing that really struck me was how connected he seemed to his family and how much they meant to him. Losing someone who played such a crucial role in the lives of so many must be incredibly difficult. I keep thinking about his children, especially young Anthony Walker III and the siblings he’s also been a father figure to. It’s hard to grasp how they are handling this immense loss. From everything reported and shared by those who knew him, Anthony was a hardworking man trying to provide for his family and make a life in New Orleans, despite the challenges of gun violence in the area. It’s unsettling to think about how this violence continues to tear families apart every day. My thoughts are foremost with his children and his fiancé, Kevia. I hope there’s some kind of support network stepping in to help them through this unimaginable time. Does anyone know if there’s a foundation or support system set up for families like Anthony's to help navigate through such tragic times? I feel there should be more resources available for those left behind.
