Has anyone else been thinking about the impact on the local community from this tragic incident? The French Quarter is always such a lively area, full of tourists and locals alike. It’s so unsettling to think about violence hitting so close to home, literally right in the heart of New Orleans. I can't even imagine how painful this must be for Andre's family and friends, dealing with such an unexpected and violent loss. It must be equally shocking for those who were just out that night and had no idea something like this would unfold. The arrest made by the NOPD is a relief for many, but it also raises questions about youth violence and what might lead someone so young to commit such a terrible act. My thoughts are with everyone affected by this event. How do we move forward as a community and make our streets safer?
