Has anyone else been struck by how much of a staple Torrez was in the local Zydeco scene? It's so unsettling to think about how his presence brought so much joy and energy to community events, yet he's no longer here with us. Every time I remember his laughter echoing at local gatherings, I'm reminded of what an incredible spirit he truly was. It's baffling that someone who spread so much positivity became a victim of such a senseless act. I hope the local authorities are putting all efforts into finding who did this to such a beloved member of our community. Has there been any update, even a small clue? It's unimaginable for his family, especially his young daughter, Alyse, to deal with such loss. Sending them all my thoughts and hoping for justice soon.
