I’ve been thinking a lot about the tragic situation involving Dashayla Ardoin and Glenkeithan Robertson. Such a gut-wrenching loss for both their families and the community. While reading through some of their friends’ and families' posts online, I noticed that Glenkeithan was quite a well-known DJ in his area. It made me wonder if there were any recent changes or stressors in his life that might have been overlooked.
Being in the public eye, even on a local level, can sometimes be overwhelming. I hope the investigation can eventually shed some light on what led to this heartbreaking outcome. I can’t imagine how Dashayla’s classmates at Mamou High School are coping with this, especially during what was supposed to be a time of celebration. Sending so much love to everyone affected by this incident.
Has anyone considered the impact this tragedy must be having on the Mamou High School community beyond just mourning Dashayla? It's such a small town, and I imagine nearly everyone knew her or at least felt her presence. Homecoming is supposed to be a time of celebration and coming together, and now it’s marked by such a heavy loss. I really hope the school is offering counseling or some kind of support for the students and staff who are navigating through this painful time. It must be surreal for them, having thought they’d be dancing and celebrating, only to be united in grief instead. My heart sincerely goes out to all those affected, and I hope they find strength in each other during this incredibly difficult period.
