I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact Julius "Chuckie" Coleman had on the kids at the Parkland Boys and Girls Club. It’s devastating to realize such a positive influence has been taken from them. I’ve read stories from parents who said their children looked up to him immensely. Julius had such a gift in connecting with the youth, always making sure they felt seen and heard. What really strikes me is the way he used humor and music, like his rap songs, to engage with the kids. It wasn't just about teaching them skills or keeping them occupied but genuinely wanting them to grow and flourish in a supportive environment. I can't help but feel for those kids who have lost such an important role model. It's crucial that the community continues to rally around these children and ensures they have the support they need moving forward. Has anyone heard how the Boys and Girls Club is planning to honor his legacy? It’d be comforting to know that they’re doing something to keep his spirit alive within their programs.

I was at the memorial for Julius "Chuckie" Coleman, and I have to say, it was an incredibly moving experience. So many people showed up to honor him, and it really showed how much of an impact he had on everyone’s lives. One thing that stood out to me was how the kids from the Parkland Boys and Girls Club shared stories about Chuckie. It was both uplifting and incredibly sad to hear about the kindness and humor he brought into their lives. I feel for his family and friends immensely. Losing someone as dedicated and loving as he was is a huge loss not just for them, but for the entire community. It was encouraging to see everyone rallying together and supporting each other, and the donations coming in through the GoFundMe campaign are a testament to how many lives he touched. I truly hope the authorities soon find the person responsible for this senseless crime, so his family can find some peace. Rest in peace, Chuckie. You’ll be missed dearly.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share something about Julius “Chuckie” Coleman that really stuck with me. Amidst all the tragedy and heartbreak, I've been struck by the immense love and support that’s poured out from the community. I read that during his funeral at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church, friends and family shared stories about Julius that painted such a vivid picture of his presence. One story stood out where kids from the Boys and Girls Club recited some of Julius’s favorite rap songs—songs he'd often turn into funny, on-the-spot performances to make them laugh. It’s just so beautiful to see how he sparked joy and laughter, even in those small, everyday moments he shared with the kids. It’s these precious memories that I’m sure will keep his spirit alive in their hearts, and it’s a bittersweet reminder of how much he’ll be missed. Sending all my thoughts and strength to Julius’s family and all of who are grieving this tremendous loss. Stay safe, everyone.
