I can't shake the thought of how devastating June 16th must have been for the family and friends of all those involved in the Breathitt County tragedy. One random aspect that's been on my mind is about Luther "Dick" Combs' love for working on cars. It sounds like he had such a passion for it, and I can't help but think about all the people he must have helped through those skills. A good mechanic is often like a trusted friend, especially in a community like Jackson. It seems like Luther was that kind of guy—someone who could be counted on to lend a hand and solve problems, often without expecting anything in return. My thoughts are with his sister, Regina Sue Stamper, and everyone else trying to process this immense loss.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the impact this tragedy has had on the community in Jackson. My heart goes out to Luther Combs’ sister, Regina, and all the family and friends affected by this senseless act. It’s hard to fathom how someone could act in such a way. Luther seems to have been a pillar in the community, always willing to lend a hand with his mechanical skills or share a story about his latest hunting adventure. I can't help but wonder how Regina is managing to cope with such a devastating loss, especially since she's lost not only her brother but also her husband, Jerry Michael Stamper. It must be incredibly difficult to face such a reality. I hope the community rallies around her and that justice is served for all involved.
