I'm really struck by the impact DeMarion seemed to have on everyone around him. It's clear he was loved deeply, not just by his family, but by friends and the entire community. The knack he had for taking things apart and putting them back together honestly speaks to a brilliant mind that was always curious, always learning. That’s a kind of intelligence and passion for life that not every teenager exhibits.
My heart goes out to his mom, Kaycee, and the rest of his family. It must be unimaginably difficult to lose someone so full of potential and love. I've been thinking a lot about the incident in Owensboro with DeMarion Mikel Black, and something just doesn’t sit right with me about the situation.
