Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the community's response to Jeremi Keith Floyd's tragic death on August 11, 2023, and I wanted to share something that's really touching. I read that many of his loved ones and even people who didn't know him personally are lighting virtual candles on the National Gun Violence Memorial website in his honor. It's amazing how people are coming together, even in a virtual space, to remember him and show support for all victims of gun violence. These acts of kindness really highlight the empathy and solidarity in our community during such difficult times. It’s heartbreaking that such gestures have to be made, but seeing people unite in this way gives me hope for positive change. I'm curious if anyone else has been involved or knows of other initiatives in Jeremi's memory? It's always inspiring to hear about communities responding to tragedy with compassion and a drive for change. My thoughts are with Jeremi's family and friends. Let’s keep his memory alive while raising awareness to prevent more tragedies like this one. Stay safe, everyone.
