Has anyone else been following the discussion about the security issues in the Algonquin neighborhood? I was reading up on Raymel Atkins' case, and it got me thinking about how vulnerable communities are under circumstances like this. It’s deeply saddening to see a young life taken so violently, leaving not just his family but the whole neighborhood feeling unsafe. During a walk last weekend, I noticed several homes on West Gaulbert Ave with flyers asking for witnesses to come forward. I hope the investigation gains more momentum soon. For those in the area, how has this incident affected your perception of safety? Also, a big hug to Minutte Atkins and her family—nobody should have to endure this kind of loss and fear in their home. ? Let's stand together and push for justice for Raymel.
