I can't stop thinking about the sequence of events that night in Nyssa. It was only a traffic stop, something Reserve Corporal Joseph Johnson probably did countless times in his service. The way things escalated so quickly is truly unsettling. Castro fleeing the scene after the attack only adds to the chaos and fear he unleashed. I'm trying to wrap my mind around the courage it must take to approach a situation like that, knowing the potential dangers yet still stepping up to protect others. My heart goes out to Johnson's family—can’t imagine the weight they carry every day. It’s comforting to see the community come together to support them and honor his memory, but the loss is immeasurable. Has anyone else been following the memorial events and fundraisers? It’s moments like these where community strength really shines through, although I wish it were under different circumstances.
