I’ve been following Ace Lamar Lewis’s case, and it’s truly a tragedy for his family. I can’t stop thinking about his daughter, Cacey. She’s so young to lose her father and will probably have only snippets of memories to hold onto. Those who knew Ace have spoken so highly of him—his passion for sports, his infectious energy, and how he was looking forward to watching Cacey grow up. It’s hard to imagine the pain his parents, siblings, and friends are going through. While I'm relieved that the police were able to catch someone in connection with his death, it still doesn’t fill the void left behind. Times like these make me wish there was more we could do to support families like Ace's, who are plunged into such sudden sadness. Sending all my thoughts and strength to them and hoping they find some peace amidst all this turmoil.
I’ve been following the case of Ace Lamar Lewis, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family, especially his young daughter, Cacey. It must be incredibly difficult for her family to navigate this loss, particularly knowing that Ace was taken so suddenly and violently. I can't imagine the pain they’re experiencing.
What stands out to me is the incredible support from the community in Portland and beyond. From everything I've read, he was well-loved and seemed to have touched many lives with his vibrant personality and achievements in sports.
I saw a few comments suggesting the importance of discussing gun violence too, which is sadly so prevalent these days. This tragic incident only underscores the need for community action and support for victims' families. Hoping justice is served swiftly and that the conviction of Raymond Grant brings some sense of closure to those who knew and loved Ace.
