Just saw the news about Donte Eugene Mathis. It's so tragic that another young life has been cut short so senselessly. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly painful time. I can’t even imagine what they must be going through. I'm really intrigued to know more about the specific area where this happened. The 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue in the Madison South neighborhood isn't an area I'm super familiar with—does anyone know if this spot is known for issues like this, or was this a completely random occurrence? It's so concerning to think that this could have happened to anybody walking by at the wrong time. Hoping that the community can come together to provide any helpful info to give Donte’s loved ones some closure and justice. If anyone has any possible insights or saw something unusual that night, please reach out to the detectives working on the case. We need to support each other in times like this. Stay safe, everyone.
