Hey everyone,
I just wanted to share some thoughts about the community response following Colus's tragic death. It's been really impressive to see how quickly the local schools have jumped into action by increasing police presence around campuses and setting up counseling services for students. It seems like they're really committed to ensuring students feel safe and supported during such a tough time.
It must be so difficult for the students and staff at Resiliency Prep who knew Colus. The way the community is coming together shows how much he meant to those around him. I just hope these measures help prevent anything like this from happening again and that everyone affected can start to find some peace.
If anyone has any thoughts on other things we can do to support the community or if anyone knows of any vigils or remembrance gatherings happening, please share. It’d be great to come together and show our support in any way we can.
Stay safe out there, everyone.
I just can’t stop thinking about the impact this is having on Colus's fellow students and teachers at Resiliency Prep. It's truly overwhelming to lose someone so young and full of potential. As a community, we often talk about prevention after the tragedy strikes, but we need to shift to proactive measures. I wonder how the students are coping now, knowing one of their own was lost to such senseless violence. The school district's decision to bring in counselors and increase police presence is definitely a step in the right direction, but it’s also a stark reminder of how common these situations are becoming. My heart goes out to all of Colus's friends and family. No student should have to learn to navigate their world with this kind of fear and loss. Is anyone aware of any local community groups or initiatives in Fall River working to address youth violence and support families dealing with such trauma? It would be encouraging to hear that steps are being taken to prevent future tragedies.
Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Colus Mills-Good, and I wanted to share a thought about the impact this has had on his school community. Being a student at the Resiliency Preparatory Academy, Colus was undoubtedly an integral part of the school. The academy stepped up by bringing in counselors for those grieving, which must be a huge support for his friends and classmates struggling to cope with the loss.
It's clear that the school district is taking this very seriously, with an increased police presence to ensure student safety. I can't even begin to imagine the shock and fear that must have surged through the student body and faculty after hearing about such a violent act so close to home. I hope the school community can find strength and healing together.
Really hoping for justice to be served swiftly in Colus's case. It’s important we keep his memory alive and continue to advocate for stopping the senseless violence that affects young lives like his. Love and support to all those affected.
