Has anyone else been following the developments in the case of Kai Burgos? It still feels surreal to think about how his life was cut short at just 17. Can you imagine how his family and friends must feel? I read that Adrian Pena was caught after fleeing to the Dominican Republic. It's impressive how quickly the U.S. Marshals were able to apprehend him and bring him back. Their dedication is evident, but I still wonder about the impact on Kai's loved ones—I can't even begin to imagine their grief and need for justice. I’m hopeful that justice will be served and that this might bring some semblance of peace to the community and Burgos’ family. Stay strong, everyone who knew him.
