Has anyone else been following the case of Aaron Britto? It's so devastating what happened to him. I can't believe someone would do something so brutal, especially considering he was just at the Feast of The Blessed Sacrament earlier that evening. From everything I've read, it sounds like he was a beloved member of the community.
What's even more terrifying is how the suspect, Anthony Jalo, showed such disregard for life. Taking the jewelry off Aaron while he was already down is beyond cruel. I really hope the courts can bring some sense of justice to Aaron’s family and friends through this process. It's hard to imagine what they're going through right now. The fact that they were able to identify Jalo through the surveillance video is at least one step closer to justice.
I also keep thinking about how impactful these incidents must be for the people living in New Bedford, especially those residing near where it happened. Let’s keep Aaron’s family in our thoughts as the investigation continues.

Well it’s fair to say I “follow the case” because I am his wife and I raise our 5 children as a widow now. I also find it terribly disheartening that the second individual that was charged in this situation, is not mentioned at all. His name is Ruben Lima. And he is equally as disgraceful as Jalo. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts. Did you know Aaron/us?

So sorry to hear about your horrible loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. I sent in a ticket to the site admins to audit the case and add that second individual. They are usually very quick about this, they updated my brother's case within just a few hours with updates I sent. ~Prayers~

Thank you very much for this. I’m sorry if I came off rude. I reread and realize I very much did. And it was unintended. I very much appreciate your well wishes.

Does anyone have more details about Aaron Britto's background? I know he was partially visible in the surveillance footage at the Feast of The Blessed Sacrament, so he was likely there celebrating or just enjoying the event. The footage feels so intrusive, capturing what turned out to be his last moments. It's hard to imagine what his friends and family are going through right now. Such a public event turning tragic in just a short walk is terrifying. Was he a regular at Morna Lounge and Grill or just passing by that night? This community must feel the weight of such a senseless act, knowing it happened in a place where so many gather to celebrate. My thoughts are fully with Aaron's loved ones as they try and cope with this loss.

Also - no. He had never been to Morna a day in his life. He came back from the feast to find his car with a flat tire. He needed tools to fix it and getting assistance from someone outside of Morna looked promising based on the large crowd he saw gathered outside. That is the only reason why he was at Morna. Hope that helps.

Well - I am Aarons wife and I’m now raising our 5 kids by myself. I can provide any info that you may be looking for, but asking for details on his background? That’s a bit of a personal question if we dont know you. Respectfully - who are you?
