Has anyone else been following the case of Sabrina Gail Cowan? I can't stop thinking about how it's another example of how dangerous domestic violence situations can be. It's just so unsettling that there were previous incidents, like the one on New Year's Eve, where Troy Briscoe reportedly threatened her with a gun. It makes me wonder what more can be done to protect people in these volatile relationships. What's also devastating to hear is the impact this has on her entire family, especially her young daughter, Breaysia. A life so unfairly cut short leaves such a painful ripple effect. I saw that they started a GoFundMe for funeral costs and to help support Breaysia, which is such a kind way for the community to rally around them. It feels important that we honor Sabrina's memory by spreading awareness about domestic violence and supporting those left struggling in its wake.
