Just came across this case about Val King, and my heart goes out to everyone who knew him. I can't imagine the pain his family and friends are going through. Something that's been on my mind is the location of the shooting. That alley near W. 5th Avenue and Garfield Street—is it known to be a problematic area? It seems odd for someone to be there at that time of night. Could there have been other people around who might have seen more but haven’t come forward yet? It's so frustrating that it’s been months and still no suspects identified. I really hope that someone with information finds the courage to speak up soon. Val deserves justice, and his loved ones deserve closure. Additionally, could the lack of street lighting in the area have contributed to the incident going unnoticed until it was sadly too late? I’d like to hear any thoughts from locals familiar with the area.
