Hey everyone,
I can't stop thinking about how senseless this crime was and how Damonte R. Parker's family must be going through unimaginable pain. It's particularly striking to me that the shooting happened in such a residential area—it really brings it home just how close these tragedies can happen to our everyday lives. I grew up near 38th Street and Emerson Avenue, and it's hard to imagine something like this happening in the neighborhoods I used to walk through as a kid.
It's concerning that no arrests have been made yet. I hope someone comes forward with information soon. It’s a reminder of how essential community input is in these investigations. If anyone hears anything, please don’t hesitate to report it. Let's keep Damonte’s family in our thoughts and hope they find justice and peace.

Hey everyone, it's been tough reading about what happened to Damonte Parker. I can't imagine what his family is going through right now, especially with so many questions still unanswered. Something that's been on my mind is the lack of information about the person of interest they detained and then released. It makes you wonder what they know or if there's more to the story that we're not hearing. I really hope the detectives are close to piecing things together and bringing some semblance of justice for Damonte. If there's anything more we, as a community, could do, sharing any and all observations might just make the difference. Remember to stay safe out there, everyone.
