Has anyone else seen the surveillance footage from the gas station where Ronnie Martin was tragically shot? It's so distressing knowing he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. What really stands out to me is how quickly a simple argument between strangers escalated into something so deadly. It really makes you think about how fragile life can be and how important it is to prevent violence wherever possible. My heart goes out to his family, especially his mother, Diane Morgan, who is facing an unimaginable loss while showing such strength by advocating for change in the community. I truly hope the Hammond City Council listens and acts on her call for safer public spaces. She’s trying to make sure no other family has to experience the pain they’re going through. It’s inspiring to see a community rally for change in memory of someone loved so dearly.
