Absolutely devastated by the news coming out of Michigan City. My heart goes out to the Simmons family during this difficult time. Just thinking about the investigation aspects of this case leaves me with so many questions. I’d love to know more about Detective Mark Galetti's approach to piecing together the evidence that led to Wilson's arrest. The fact that they were able to track him down so quickly, especially given that he crashed a stolen vehicle, is nothing short of commendable. The coordination between the various law enforcement agencies must have been intense. I wonder if there were other units involved in bringing Wilson into custody or if Detective Galetti had past experience in similar high-pressure cases. It's a relief knowing that someone so seemingly diligent is handling the investigation, but the whole situation still feels eerie. Does anyone know if this area of Calumet Avenue is typically busy at night? Just trying to understand the larger context of what might have led up to such a tragic event.
