I've been following Derek Tucker Smith's case from Powell, Tennessee, and I find one aspect particularly puzzling. So, his van was found just a few miles from his home at Glenwood Baptist Church, but what I can't wrap my head around is why it was there of all places. Was this a spot he visited frequently? Did he have any connections to that location or the church itself?
It seems strange to me that he would park so close to home, yet not make any effort to see his family, especially since he missed all those major holidays. Just a couple of miles from familiar surroundings... It feels like there's something significant about that location we might not be seeing. Maybe someone here knows more about whether Derek had ties to that area or if it’s simply a coincidence? Any info or theories would be greatly appreciated!
