Has anyone else been following the tragic incident at the Waffle House in Indianapolis? My heart goes out to Crystal Kennebrew's family and friends. From everything I've read, she seemed like such a bright light, and it’s painful to think about how many lives have been disrupted by this senseless act of violence. One detail that stands out to me is how quickly things escalated during what should have been a night of celebration. The NBA All-Star Weekend is supposed to be about fun and coming together over a shared love of basketball, yet now it’s overshadowed by this tragedy. I keep thinking about how many people were at that restaurant and how terrifying it must have been. If anyone was there and saw what happened, or heard anything, it could really make a difference. I hope more witnesses come forward to help IMPD piece together exactly what happened. It can’t bring Crystal back, but perhaps it can provide some justice and prevent future incidents. It's just so hard to make sense of why these things happen.
