I can't stop thinking about the immense impact Don Hornback had on everyone who crossed his path. From what I've learned, he was not only brilliant but also genuinely kind and dedicated to making the world a better place. It’s evident he poured his heart into every facet of his life, be it through his military service, his patents, or his time teaching at Ivy Tech. His work with Pathway International shows the depth of his compassion—he truly wanted to bring positive change, especially for children and families in need.
Reading about his passing is deeply saddening, but the love and respect his family and community have demonstrated are awe-inspiring. My heart goes out to his wife Deannie, their children, and entire family. It must be incredibly difficult to process such a loss, especially since it seems that he touched so many lives with his warmth and innovation. Keeping the Hornback family in my thoughts during this difficult time.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to bring up something that is both sad and touching about Don Hornback's life – his incredible dedication to service and education. Having read through the details about his life, it's clear that he was someone who gave so much to his community and beyond. From serving in the Army Security Agency to teaching at Ivy Tech, Don seemed to live a life dedicated to helping others. It’s commendable how he balanced his military service with a robust academic career, and still found time to co-found Pathway International, which did so much good for children and families.
It’s the kind of legacy that I think deserves more attention and reflection, not just by those who knew him personally, but by all of us. While the circumstances of his passing are tragic, I hope his contributions continue to inspire those around him. It's a reminder of how one person can impact so many lives in profound ways. My thoughts are with his family and those who had the privilege to learn from and work alongside him.
Rest in peace, Don.
