I've been following the tragic case of Jose Eduardo Hernandez, and it got me thinking about the Garfield Park neighborhood where this awful event took place. I've lived nearby for a few years, and it always seemed like a pretty peaceful area. It's shocking to hear about such violence happening just down the street.
I know the IMPD mentioned that the area isn't linked to specific threats, but it's still so unsettling for the local residents. I'm hoping this doesn't create fear in the community, and instead, maybe brings everyone together to help find some answers for Jose's family. They deserve closure and justice for their loved one.
