I can't stop thinking about how tragic it is that a veteran like Leticia Zaragoza, who served our country, encountered such a horrific end. It's so easy to lose sight of the fact that behind statistics and reports are real people with incredible stories and lives. Her service in the Marine Corps speaks volumes about her dedication and strength, and hearing her brother describe her as a "beautiful person" makes it even more distressing to think about what might have led up to this terrible event. My heart goes out to Leticia's family, especially Tony Garcia, who had to face the devastating task of identifying her. It's moments like these when the courage of military service extends into the emotional resilience the family must now find. I hope they find some comfort and strength in each other and in the shared memories of happier times with her. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy.
