Has anyone been following the case of Bridgette Myles on the South Shore? I'm trying to wrap my head around the impact this tragic event has had on her community. It's not just another statistic; it's someone's life painfully cut short. What gets me is how her death fits into a larger pattern of violence that disproportionately affects women of color. I stumbled upon some insights from the Black Femicide Prevention Coalition, and it's heartbreaking to see these stories repeated so often with little change. Can we talk about what tangible actions we can push for to prevent these tragedies, or at least provide some support to those left behind?
