I've been following the case of Anthony Stinson Jr. and something that strikes me the most is the incredible strength and resilience of his family, especially his father. It’s unimaginable the pain they must feel, yet they've taken it upon themselves to create something beautiful in Anthony’s memory with The Anthony J. Stinson Jr. Association for Change. I think what Anthony Sr. is doing is nothing short of remarkable. By providing a safe haven for young people and promoting nonviolent conflict resolution, he is changing lives in Jacksonville and working tirelessly to stop this cycle of violence.
Has anyone here heard about other programs or initiatives like this that started after a tragedy? It’s heartening to see such bravery and commitment to community healing. My heart deeply goes out to Anthony’s loved ones. I can't help but think that Anthony is so proud of what his dad is accomplishing in his name. Let's hold space for this family and hope for some justice and closure soon.
