Has anyone else been following how this case is impacting the local community, especially at Northwestern University? I read that the shooting prompted a shelter-in-place alert, which must have been terrifying for the students and staff on campus. It makes you think about how gun violence doesn't just affect the victims and their immediate families but also sends ripples through the whole community. I can't help but feel for everyone involved, especially Jacquis' family, who have to endure such unimaginable pain. It's a sobering reminder of how quickly lives can be altered by senseless violence. Would love to hear thoughts on how community support has been in Evanston following this tragedy and whether there are any local initiatives to prevent something like this from happening again.
