Has anyone else been following the tragic story of Jaemiyah Seymore? I’ve been thinking a lot about the aftermath of her loss and how gun violence in Chicago seems to just rip families apart with no resolution. Her case hasn’t seen any arrests or breakthroughs, which must be incredibly frustrating and painful for her loved ones who are left waiting for justice. It’s upsetting how cases like hers, and many others, seem to get lost amid the statistics of gun violence, rather than being seen for what they really are: the loss of an individual, a friend, a daughter. Does anyone have insights on how community efforts or organizations are helping families in similar situations cope or seek justice? This city definitely needs more proactive measures to address this. Keeping Jaemiyah's family in my thoughts.

I came across Jaemiyah Seymore's case recently, and it's really stuck with me. As a young woman just stepping into adulthood, she had so much life ahead of her. I keep thinking about her family and friends, who must be going through a really tough time without any closure or justice. It's terribly frustrating to see yet another case without leads or significant progress. I can't help but wonder what the community can do to help push for answers. Does anyone here have suggestions on how we can support efforts to address gun violence in Chicago or advocate for justice in Jaemiyah's case? I believe if we all pull together, these stories won’t just become cold cases but sparks for real change.
